Midtown West is the area found from 5th Avenue west to the West Side
Highway and from 34th Street up to the southern tip of Central Park.
Midtown is New York City's main hub for business, shopping, entertainment
and tourism. There is just so so much to find and do here.
Once a derelict neighborhood it's now a very lively residential district.
Midtown West is made up of Hell's Kitchen and Clinton. Both neighborhoods
are a unique mix of people ranging from young professionals to new immigrants
to the old residents from the eighties. It's a place where people want
to know their neighbours and most do.
The architecture is mainly 3-5 story walk-up buildings. They are smallish
but do offer the advantage of Downtown at moderate prices.
Ninth Avenue has developed into a destination for chic bars, restaurants
and shops. Even some new galleries have opened in the area. Upscale
business are also locating here ie., Kenneth Cole corporate headquarters.
Theater Row, is like a mini Broadway. It features Off and Off-Off Broadway
shows and is currently undergoing its own makeover.
