Morningside Heights is where you'll find Columbia University. It's a hilly area from Cathedral Parkway (West 110th Street) to 125th Street. The university's main campus extends from 114th to 120th Streets.

Many of the apartment buildings in this neighborhood are pre-war and are generally, in co-op buildings. Most residents in this area are either students or the original New Yorkers who have lived in this neighborhood for most of their lives. It's a comfortable and quiet neighborhood close to mass transit and midtown.

Recently this neighborhood has also changed to become a more interesting and and lively community. With a wide choice of restaurants, bars and coffee shops bigger crowds are now bringis people and new businesses to this extension of the Upper West Side.
