National Tennis Center is the home of the US Open tennis championships, which is the loudest, craziest Grand Slam in the world. National Tennis Center is essentially a larger, more luxurious version of nearby Louis Armstrong Stadium, done in red granite and steel. All the big matches of the tournament are played here, and the stadium environment and vertiginous seating create a tennis setting unlike any other in the world.

Open tickets go on sale at the beginning of June, and day sessions in particular sell out quickly. Still, additional tickets are sometimes made available after the tournament gets underway in late August. A limited number of grounds passes are also distributed each morning during the early rounds.
